RF Passive Device Modeling
austriamicrosystems provides advanced RF simulation models for passive devices like resistors, capacitors, varactors, and inductors.
The RF models are part of our SPICE model libraries and can be downloaded for a wide range of analog circuit simulators (e.g. Spectre, Agilent-ADS, ELDO, etc) from the download area of our technical web-server.
The SPICE model development is based on S parameter measurements up to frequencies of 40 GHz and higher. Besides the standard passive devices (resistors, capacitors and inductors), special accumulation-mode MOS varactors and junction varactors are available for the design of high performance VCO's.
Together with accurate RF models for active devices (MOS transistors, bipolar transistors) the RF passive device library enables realistic circuit simulation at high frequencies for both CMOS and BiCMOS applications. All RF device libraries are an integrated part of the RF process design kit (Cadence and Agilent ADS) offered by austriamicrosystems to foundry customers.
