Description
The EasyPoint™ AS5013-DB-2 demoboard allows you an easy-to-use evaluation of the principle function of the EasyPoint™ AS5013 magnetic encoder / EasyPoint™ module without additional hardware and software effort. This kit consists of an N40P112 EasyPoint™ module including the AS5013 magnetic encoder and USB interface. It is suitable for mechanical & hardware reference design.
Once plugged on a PC running Windows, the EasyPoint™ AS5013-DB-2 demoboard will work as a standard HID analog joystick with 3 fire buttons.
The software controls the EasyPoint™ AS5013 two-dimensional linear encoder of the EasyPoint™ joystick module and reads the XY coordinates. The result is displayed on a XY map, and AS5013 register can be manually read and written. The software includes a mouse emulator, allowing the AS5013-DB-2 to be used as a mouse under Windows. The software installer includes drivers for AS5013 I²C communication, and is compatible with Microsoft Windows XP and 7.
